In the Right Pane, select the Startup Script, double-click on it and the dialog box ensure that you select the PowerShell tab. Click on the Add Button and locate the script you want to use. The Task would execute the PowerShell Script used in the above section. We have done similar but one issue that did come up is around changing the font used in custom CP. We have added an additional task to the default Windows CP that has a label with text. We wanted to change the font label because on some backgrounds the font becomes difficult to read. Do you have any idea how this could be achieved?

Good question! We never tried this option…we might need to investigate a little bit further to see if this would be possible. And what about different size of screens? Thanks for visiting our blog. Or create by hand the same registry entry that GPO uses. But this is not easy to do, because we have several clients already working, and if we want to deploy updated image we can't do with the same settings, neither make changes without the risk of braking the lockscreen on one or another image.
I don't know if has some relation or not, but just in the same month where our problmes started, the Microsoft support for compilation finished, but not LTSB version, it finished for CBB versions.
Maybe, something in the lockscreen has changed and they have only focus on th current Windows 10 versions, somthing not logical, because LTSB version has some years of support more, but is a bit strange This thread is locked. Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. I've read some articles about how you can change it so you can disable the screen via a reg code to just a flat color, but I'm looking for a way to set up an actual custom image for it.
And I just can't seem to find a way to do it. I've read about turning on the "Force a specific default lock screen image" in group policy, I turned it on and nothing happens. I'm quite familiar with group policy I'm already doing it for Windows I need to do this for around machines when we upgrade These unsupported tools are linked in the article, if you care to risk blowing stuff up.
If in the future, you do find a supported way, please remember to come back and post your findings I've been wanting to tweak that screen too. I use the force a specific default lock screen image on my Windows 10 GPO and it works flawlessly. Have you checked gpresult or tried gpupdate?
I've downloaded the. Just make sure that the path is relevant on every machine. Either the image needs to be copied to them all or you need to use the UNC option to a image stored on a accessible share. I've got a laptop that's setup and that I use for my "John Doe" account to test things out. It took me forever to get the lock screen after 10 minutes, but I finally did I think I've got printers working now It is frustrating sitting there scratching your head, using the gpupdate, and rebooting, only to keep seeing nothing change.
Then, out of nowhere it catches on. I've been running the above policy on my computer for about 3 days along with gp updates , done constant restarts. I work with group policy everyday and am very familiar with it's quirks I just can't seem to get this to take. I also have the file in the correct path as far as I can tell for my testing.
Based off my image above and my previous GP screenshot I have not had very good success with Group Policy and windows There are a lot of features of Group Policy that are only applied on an enterprise version of windows Windows 8 was the same way, perhaps to a lesser extent. Unfortunately, those items are clearly identified in the Group Policy Editor. Microsoft seems to be taking measures to cripple GPO for non enterprise editions of Windows.

So I turned off the "No Lock Screen" reg key that I setup a while back I'm talking about the flip screen where you have to hit a key when you first turn on the computer, it swipes away to the username and password and my picture showed THERE.
Is there another policy that controls that? Because obviously this GP policy only controls that flip screen. I want to change the background as shown below not for the flip screen :. Baffles me why Microsoft would take out a very common feature that's been there forever for no real reason. I setup my desktop with Windows 10 as the 1st Windows 10 workstation to test it out.
